If you don’t see your question, feel free to ask in the event Telegram channel, or you can email us!
What is WPAFW like?
Think of WPAFW as a weekend-long barbeque at a local park, but instead of suburban dads in football jerseys, it’s furries. We provide meals throughout the weekend, plus an open beer bar. The main focus of the event is raising money for our partner charity, and of course having a great time!
Wait, the event isn’t at a hotel?
That’s right! The event takes place at a local park, North Park. We have two hotel blocks for people to stay nearby, but the event itself takes place a few miles away at the park. We run shuttles between the hotels and the event space for the convenience of attendees.
Can I camp at North Park?
No, camping isn’t allowed at North Park.
Is there a Dealers Den or Artist Alley at the event?
No, we don’t have a Dealers Den or Artist Alley. Instead, our focus is entirely on raising money for our partner charity. We have a charity auction with some amazing items in it where we encourage attendees to spend the money they might have otherwise used in a Dealers Den or Artist Alley.
Can I host a panel or activity?
Yes! Panel and activity sign-ups open after registration. There’s no guaruntee that you’re activity will make it onto the schedule – that decision is ultimately up to WPAFW staff – but we are able to accomodate most ideas.
Is there wifi at the event space?
No, WPAFW does not provide wifi for attendees at the event space. Most carriers have cell service throughout the event space, but it’s not a guarentee.
Can I attend WPAFW if I am under 21?
No. WPAFW is 21+ event.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Parking directly at the venue isn’t available to attendees with the exception of those with handicap placards. There’s a parking lot down the road from the venue for attendees to use, and we run shuttles from that parking lot up to the venue every 15 minutes. For more information, check out our page on Directions, Parking, & Shuttles.
Is the venue handicap accessible?
The venue does not meet the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for accessibility. Keep in mind that the event takes place at a park, and getting accessibility devices over grass and mud can be difficult. That said, we bring in our own equipment such as ramps and hard mats and do our best to make the venue as accessible as possible. For more information about accessibility at the event, check out our page on Accessibility.
If you have any concerns about accessibility, reach out to us at [email protected]. We’ll do our very best to accomodate your needs.
