We do our best to make WPAFW an inclusive space that’s accessible for all of our attendees. If you have any questions about accessibility, reach out to us at [email protected].
Event Venue
The venue does not meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements for accessibility. Keep in mind that the event takes place at a park, and getting accessibility devices over grass and mud can be difficult.
That said, we bring in our own equipment and do our best to make the venue as accessible as possible. We use ramps to allow for improved access to the lodge itself. There is also a walkway that we extend with hard mats to allow for easier access to various event areas.
If you have any concerns or feedback regarding accessibility at the event venue, please let us know. While we can’t guaruntee that we’ll be able to implement every piece of feedback, we do our best to provide as much additional accomodation as possible.
Parking
While parking is not available directly at the event venue for most attendees, we do have a reserved parking area at the venue for those with accessibility needs. Anyone with a handicap parking placard qualifies to use our accessibility parking area. For those without a handicap parking placard, access is granted on a case-by-case basis.
Please contact us ahead of the event if you plan to use our accessibility parking area.
Lines
At registration, we have an ADA access line for those with accessibility needs.
For other lines at the event, speak to our staff on site if you have difficulty standing for long periods of time. We can escort you to the front of the line.
Quiet Space
We have a quiet space available at the medical tent at the event space.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at the event. Emotional support animals and pets are not permitted.
Hotel Accommodations
For specific room requests or floor preferences, please contact your hotel directly.
Website
We do our best to keep our website compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. That said, the website is maintained by a small group of volunteers. If you find anything that we’ve missed, please let us know!
